what a day: sunshine and a tailwind! La Scarpe and the Scheldt, cycle track a bit muddy, some cobble stones of the North (Paris-Roubaix) but mostly flat. Of course cobblestones can be dangerous and yes I landed in the ditch full with 'netels'.

Agriculture is more like an industry and nuclear centrals are never far away in France, as cooling water from l'Escaut is abundant, nevertheless nature is magnificient. (Already a tip for the crossword... Escaut in English)
