Day 20, La Garde Guérin 42km

By now we touch regularly upon yet another Crossword grid word, number 4. Department, river, mountain range... So far nobody tempted to provide a completed grid, QUID?

Highlights of the day: Our highest point so far: 1275m; Prévenchères Place de l’Eglise a 400 year old Linde (Tilia species) and a 150 year old Cedar embrace a XII roman church; rain and rather cold.

Some  jewels along the road make extra climbs necessary but rewarding spectacular sites and views. Chateau Luc

and our settlement in medieval village, La Garde Guérin, are must do when around. 

From the castle you overlook a 400m deep canyon. Gorges du Chassezac that we will follow tomorrow.
