Day 14 Roanne 62km

Again a hot day with temperatures around 33 Celsius, this time with a strong headwind. Thunderstorms are around the corner! The Loire remains our ‘compagnon de route’.

A series of little roman churches are linked to the important Abbey Cluny which is in the region. The map shows a tour from church to church.

For the last 15km we were on a more important road as I must have planned the wrong way: no cycling path, speeding cars and no trees or shade! ‘Verstand op nul en trappen, stompen tegen de wind...’
